From time to time Fireside Log Homes hosts an old fashioned “log raising.” This provides our employees and the public with invaluable experience in building a log home, and helps keep the spirit of log home living alive.

What you can expect at a Fireside Log Raising:

At a typical log raising, all of the walls that make up a log home are erected in one day. |

You can either participate on any level you choose: just be an observer, or put on a tool belt and jump into the action. |
• |
We usually start around 9:00 a.m. and finish around 3:00 p.m. You are invited to show up at any time throughout the day. |
• |
Technical assistance from experienced log home builders is available at every log raising to promote the integrity and quality that goes into every Fireside Log Home. |
Due to the unpredictable nature of construction, we are unable to schedule log raisings with a lot of advance notice. Usually they are planned about 3 or 4 weeks in advance. Check back often to see if any log raisings are scheduled.
